Wednesday, February 13, 2008, Teamsters Canada Rail Conference, representing all running trades employees at CP Rail, announced today that their members have ratified a new five year contract by a margin of 59%. The current Collective Agreement expired December 31, 2006 and applies to approximately 4500 Locomotive Engineers, Conductors, Trainmen and Yardmen employed in road and yard service at Canadian Pacific Railway.

The new Agreement is retroactive to January 1, 2007, including wages and benefits and extends to December 31, 2011. Improvements in quality of life issues and pensions are the cornerstone of the Agreement.
